All renditions (C) Wolfram R. Jarisch, 2003

Test on a semi-sphere, reconstruction from a mathematical model.
The model consists of a hollow semi-sphere with a small full sphere at its center.
Observe that these features are well represented in the 3-D reconstruction, although with some artifacts.

This particular test is concerned with the evaluation of the spatial long-range dependencies of density estimates
and the ability to use as few as 4 projective cone-beam views
to achieve meaningful density estimates.

The reconstruction was computed on an Intel 860 processor at CTI with a resolution of about 180-cubed voxels.
The surface renditions were computed on a SUN station. Note: black surface patches are due to defects in the
rendition algorithm provided on that system and are not a result of the 3-D reconstruction.
